TIME TO RELAX

Ralph Marston said ... When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing - just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs, or waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park?

I can’t remember when the last time was either.

INEXHAUSTIBLE WATER

Inexhaustible water … that if there’s no brownout. Children really have the weirdest imagination, while looking around this area, my kids out of the blue said where’s Snowhite? Can you see the seven dwarfs mom? Do I look like having a third eye? LOL.

An electricity generated well at Emar’s wavepool here in Davao.

RAIN, RAIN AND ELECTIONS

Enough reason why I let my children stay at home today,
our frontyard was turned into a little pond, their second absent for the whole semester
My plants rejoiced

It rained the whole night last night; I think the heaven’s teared also with my uncle who lost in the barangay elections. He’s got no money, no machinery only a clean conscience and a heart to help, but as they say election is money … having only the latter obviously he failed.

I’m a changed woman now, I look at things at its bright side with hope and optimism, but just this once, I think this country is hopeless, corruption is incurable. My God, these crocodiles didn’t spare no one, we’ll I took the groceries and the money, it’s still my money, half of teaching salary is axed with tax so I have to take those as it’s mine, but for heaven’s sake, how can these people just ‘garapalan’ hand-out peso bills night before the election. I pity these people.

Dismantling this culture of corruption should I think start from the grassroots level, but how can this be? Seeing the way people at this plane perpetuated such a practice is so depressing. I’m so overwhelmed with disgust; politics indeed is more than smutty as the garbage it left.

INTERNET CAFÉ IN A VAN

While picking up breakfast at McDonalds drivethru at Damosa Gateway, this blue container van along the side lane caught me, I find it interesting, as I was approaching that’s when I knew it’s an internet shop enclosed in a container van and is suspended with big metal tubes as support.

The nosy me went up to see the inside, I was not allowed to take photos. I was feeling like inside a dungeon, but an air-conditioned one, in all fairness all the cubicles were full, I wonder if they’re browsing on some US casino hitting on some luck, and they’re staff were courteous.

I was feeling uneasy just standing and looking around  so I told the lady at the counter, I will be back  (I don't know when.)

DRUGS TO THE RESCUE

When it rains it pours so the saying goes.

I wonder why I’ve been struck by series of unfortunate events these past days, it only started with a trailer truck that hit our electricity line that left us currentless for a day on Monday. I thought that was settled after the guys from Davao light fixed it like a thief in the night, that fast.

The following day, the phone rang, it was sad news, my husbands best friend’s father finally succumb to death after several months of battling complications brought about by big C. Later in the afternoon, my son was bugging me about his costume for their schools UN Day, and many more. I got whacked the whole week, I contracted muscle pains, severe headaches, I can already feel the pain rises to my chest brought about by acid reflux, and I can feel my muscles quiver.

Me, ‘feeling like a doctor’ went on self-prescribed medication, to no avail, I know I’m getting down, so once and for all, I dropped by our family doctor after doing my wet marketing at Agdao Public Market to get professional recommendation.

I was a good patient, I drank all what the doctor prescribed, unfortunately it made me drowsy, so I had to go back again and ask him for another prescription, he instead gave me Cyclobenzaprine, thank God, after several hours, my body pains were gone.

But did you know that you can get Cyclobenzaprine no prescription online? Although it is not advisable to self-medicate, as it’s always a good practice to seek your doctors advice when it comes to medical treatments, you have liberal alternative venue where you can source your drugs.

Other than cyclobenzaprine, Ultracet no prescription, which also works best as a pain reliever and antidote to acid reflux can also be sourced online. Fioricet no prescription in fact is also a very potent aspirin-free pain management medicine, and a non-narcotic one can also be sourced online. Check it out.

NOSTALGIA

Photobucket
To be honest I’m not feeling nostalgic today rather feeling poignant over things that I know it’s within my power to turn around things but I just can’ttttttttt ……. It’s really a helluva day! I regret it knowing the art of getting along with others, how can this knowing be such burdened responsibility. Sorry guys, I just can’t divulge everything here now, maybe one of these days when I’ve gathered all the adjectives in describing those unfortunate series of events in my recent life.

Anyway, sharing the personal anthem of my life today, feeling end of my life na … waaahhh! Thanks to this song! Sorry guys, pagbigyan nyo na ako, just feelin’ low today.

FINDING TUTOR ONLINE

Education in its entirety is an action that shapes a person’s mind, a person’s character and even the physical ability of an individual. More so, it is a way to consciously transmit a society’s culture, knowledge, the values, the technological skills that are crucially needed for the continuity of this generation.

Education, as they say is a life long process, but you have to start from the earliest time of your life to learn if not everything this society intends one to learn. But often learning can be very stressful to children, given the nature of competition in our society, one should keep-up to be on track all the time, but not all students have the same pace when it comes to learning process, some are fast, some are slow learners. Situations like this would prompt the parents to take extra step to augment learning, and this where the tutors would come in.

In my case I really seek Science homework help; I even contracted someone to be my son’s Science tutor. But for some, they find online tutorial easy and convenient.

True! Just in case you’re not aware yet, there are online tutoring companies that offer homework help at your convenience. If you have problems with Balancing equations, or wanted to understand more what’s the difference between and homogeneous mixture and heterogeneous mixture, or you just want to take a whole picture of what the properties of Ionic compounds are, or just simply know what the uses of Nitric Acid are, then there’s TutorVista.com that is open 24/7 to assist you with this. If you’re a first time user, you can avail of their services free of charge; in fact they offer low-priced unlimited online tutoring packages. So why worry when there are plenty of minds to help you out there in just a click away, try their services now.

CHAIRLESS BARBER SHOP

I passed by this barber shop when I run some errands around here the other day. For P30 you can have a haircut here, I guess the amount is still negotiable as you can see, that’s still minus the cost using the chair. Lol.

BAGYONG JUAN

For the longest time that I have been living here Davao, I can only count with my fingers the times that a storm has hit this area, this question - how it is like to be living in areas being hit by storm often - Is not actually a wishful thinking. It might be a bit weird but I just want to get that feeling of empathy, how is it to be warned to get ready for evacuation? How is it to be living in the evacuation centers? How intense is it to be in the areas forewarned to have a storm signal number 4. I believe that you will have a much deeper understanding of things, a more compassionate feeling towards people being hit by this storm if you yourself really have experienced how it is to be.

Although at times we feel sympathetic to those people we just see on TV, thanks to this technology, but honestly, after we have delivered several pack of noodles, cans of sardines used clothing and other relief items in the dropping centers here, just like we did during the Ondoy days, we felt so detached. We just say ‘kawawa naman’ and let it through after.

I felt it more a responsibility more than fortunate to be geographically located somewhere here in the south, for the reason that - whatever happens to those people being striken by storm you still have your kababayans down here who are more than willing to send you another sacks and sacks of support again.

Juan please be gentle.

Oh wait, I’m sharing this post for MYM.
behind those clouds are blue hopes of a clear day...

CRAZY WEEKEND

No matter how I tried to convince myself that I love weekends, I just can’t. Not that I don’t like having and hearing the shouting and the crying of my dragons at home, it’s just that, I go crazy with mommy chores, kids Saturday music lessons, market day, grocery day, ironing day, checking papers day and other weekend errands, grrrrr…… that’s why I’m often out of the blogosphere circle on weekends. It might be the exact opposite of other mom’s schedule, but what can I do that’s how someone’s life went on this side of town.

Anyway, sharing a little birds eye view of Davao City for Scenic Sunday.

FAUX SNOW

For people living in places with true seasons, seeing this stuff might not be a wonder to you, but for children who have just heard and read about this cold white stuff, seeing it was like a mystery that left one wondering how this thing works?
When I saw this on weekend, at a display window of a hardware store here in Davao, it awed me how humans have developed such a technology that truly resembles a true falling snow from the sky using small styro balls. But what awed me the most was seeing the eyes of these children rolled into wonder, shouting.. yeheey! Snow!

It left me thinking, what if snow would really fall along here? What will happen to those people living in the slum? They would sure be frozen to death. Maybe that’s why, geographically, Philippines was coincidentally located along the tropics to spare these deprived ones of decent homes from getting hard on seasons like this. ….. Do you think so?

LIVE ONLINE GAMES

I think this is one of the perks of living in the modern world, everything is now within your reach and this is brought about by the unprecedented development of online industry and online gambling is one of those who have ridden the bandwagon of modernity. From its simple software struggles and controversial beginnings back in Antigua and Barbuda in 1994 online casinos has now become one of the most flourishing online trades.

Live online casinos are one of the by products of this industry, in a matter of years, the internet has revolutionized the landscape of gambling, gone were the days when you have to pomade hard and dress up tight just to get into physical casinos, well, sorry if my mind pictured that reel James Bond thing. But whether it’s for reel or real, I think you would also have to dress up the same. Today you can enjoy exactly the same thrill at the comforts of your couch wherever, whenever and whatever you wear. Indeed online gaming has made borders fluid, has made money transactions easy and light.

Casino favorite games like Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Big Six, and many more can also be enjoyed online, in fact playing live online casinos can be more engaging, for most beginners, that including me, prefer doing it online, more than its convenience it’s a good start to develop more playing skills and the best part some online gaming sites requires no uploading of funds yet as it is free. It even comes in a more vivid 3D graphic feature with surround sound that gives you that feeling of reality and pleasure.

And here’s the cool part, if you want to experience all of the above and want to try your luck, or I must say ‘do you want to visit ‘Disneyland for adults?’ I recommend you visit uk live casinos, they have live reputable dealers that are more than happy to accommodate you, and above all, results you can trust. They offer huge bonuses, great promotions from time to time. Do you want another word from me? I just signed up and tried it myself and had gone crazy practice playing with live Blackjack online, it was so cool.

EMAR’S WAVEPOOL DAVAO

Wavepool - it’s actually new to Davao, in fact it’s the first wavepool here. My kids just want to experience how it is to be in the muddled water, so we drove far south just to catch that experience. Call it fortunate but the weather did not cooperate it’s threatening to drop a river, but who cares, lol.

The place actually was good, especially at the bay side where you can have a wide picture of the endless sea, and if you’re lucky you get to see beautiful sun setting at Mt. Apo. They also have a nice, charming hotel by the sea, though no shore to walk-on, as they have reclaimed the shore area for the pool.

Here sharing some snapshots.

The pool at dusk
not minding the storm
the wave source, just wondering how this technology work,
it really made the pool area turn into an angry water, it's dangerous for small kids but teens, adults just so love to fight back this human-made nature ...lol.
soaking want to 'sawa'
charming cottages at the pool side
streaks of sunlight at dusk, its relaxing standing by the railing skywatching here.

BRAVING THE STORM

Grabee! I missed blogging, after two days of being absent finally I get to update this blog. Still surviving with off line scheds though, I've been thinking how can motherhood and mothering keeps a woman grounded… grrr…! I’m complaining? Yes, only here in my blog, can’t say it either in front of my children.. I’m an epitome of an ideal mom to them ….. sigh!

Anyway, talking about surviving, is also talking about being brave … sharing some metaphors here, I took this when I accompanied my son to attend his classmate’s afternoon pool party at Emar’s wave pool here.

Sharing some thoughts also from a person I've gotten some of philosophies in life - Nelson Mandela, he said ..... I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave wo/man is not s/he who does not feel afraid, but s/he who conquers that fear.
